Lauren Harcarik, BA

Lauren Harcarik is a post-baccalaureate fellow in the Department of Bioethics. She completed her BA in Philosophy at the University of Massachusetts, in Boston, MA. Her undergraduate work explored topics, broadly, in feminist philosophy, philosophy of rights, and moral psychology. Specifically, she developed a phenomenological account of addiction elucidating the role of shame. At the NIH, she hopes to examine issues surrounding autonomy, capacity and decision-making, and feminist approaches to bioethics.
