Christina Nyquist, BA
Christina Nyquist is a fellow with the National Institutes of Health's Medical Research Scholars Program and is spending a year in research with the Department of Bioethics. She is an MD candidate for the class of 2023 through the University of Minnesota Medical School and is planning on pursuing the field of psychiatry for residency. She holds a BA degree from the University of Minnesota–Morris (2016) in biology with a minor and research experience in Cultural Anthropology. Prior to medical school, she was a post-baccalaureate researcher with the Biomedical Ethics Research Program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN (2017-2018). Her current research focuses on euthanasia and assisted suicide for non-terminal illness with a focus on psychiatric disorders, disability, and aging addressing questions around regulation and physician roles. Her other research interests include the social value of and resource allocation for palliative and hospice care.
